Bookings

  • How do I book a housekeeper?

    After you enter the address of the assignment site you will get a result with available housekeepers in your area ranked closest by km. You can also filter by price, star rating and services.

    You can manually select one prefered housekeeper based on distance, rating, reviews etc.

    Here you can simultaneously add several housekeepers to the same booking to ensure better response, first one that confirms gets the job.

    You can also use the Auto book for the fastest response, here the job request is sent out to all those closest until one accepts.

    Remember to include job description when booking. Should you forget details, you can contact the housekeeper by chat which you find after a housekeeper has accepted the assignment.

  • How do I cancel or change an assignment?

    Under bookings on progress by pressing “Cancel job” you will have the opportunity to cancel the assignment, as long as the progress has not started. When it comes to changing the duration of the assignment this can be done by adding hours on ongoing bookings in app - must be approved by housekeeper before entitled to fulfillment. In the case of start-up time changes, this can be agreed in chat, but must be confirmed by both parties before entitled to fulfillment.

Housekeepers

  • How do I know that the housekeepers is approved by the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority?

    In order for the housekeepers to be approved to work on the app, they must be verified with an HSE card from the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority and their own organisation number

  • What can I expect from a housekeeper?

    This depends on the job description when ordering, number of hours you have booked, as well as what you and the housekeeper have agreed on in the chat or on arrival. Housekeepers should not perform exterior cleaning of windows when they are not accessible at ground level or veranda. This is for security reasons.

  • If I want to order the same housekeeper again?

    After each assignment is completed you can decide to order the same housekeeper for repetitive jobs. Set to: Once a week, Every second week, or Once a month. Simply navigate to the Completed bookings page or Progress page in the app, and choose “Hire again” to view the options and set the prefered schedule. You can cancel assignments at any time that you do not want to be completed.

Payment / Price

  • Everyone who signs as housekeeper in the app is self-employed and therefore determines their own hourly rate, but they cannot have an hourly rate lower than the cleaning industry tariff. The price that you as a customer pays includes the hourly price of the housekeeper, VAT as well as costs associated with insurance and operation of the service platform.
  • How tax and VAT are paid:

    All the housekeepers are self-employed and are therefore responsible for paying VAT, if VAT registered, as well as tax on what they earn.

Challenges with the assignment

  • If the housekeeper does not show up at the scheduled time:

    If the housekeeper does not show up at the scheduled time, first contact the housekeeper in the chat. If this does not resolve the matter, please contact our support team in the chat or by email.: support@maidme.no

  • If I am not satisfied with the job done:

    If you are not satisfied with the work of the housekeeper, you can contact the housekeeper when the assignment is completed and hear if the housekeeper is willing to come back.

General things around the assignment

  • Key and access management:

    Once a housekeeper has confirmed your request, you and the housekeeper will be able to communicate together in the chat. It is generally recommended to be home first time booking a specific housekeeper, but this is totally up to you.

  • Do I need to have cleaning equipment available?

    You as a customer must have the necessary equipment available. This should be:

    -Vacuum cleaner

    -Washing bucket and mop

    -Green soap

    -Kitchen Spray

    -Bathroom Spray

    -Universal Spray

    -Scouring cream

    -Cloths

  • Giving a review:

    When the job is completed you will be given the opportunity to give your rating from 1 - 5 stars, as well as a writen review on the work done. You can also choose check-off for successful job or check-off to talk to MaidMe support.

The home cleaners are self-employed with their own liability insurance which covers legal liability for physical damage to a person or things. Coverage of up to 10 million.

Terms housekeeper

As a home cleaner this depends on the agreement with your insurance company. But typical liability insurance for cleaning covers legal liability for physical damage to a person or things. Financial loss as a result of a covered physical injury. Legal aid for processing claims for damages covered by the insurance.
